Our smallest ironmongery project ever, this re-furbished iconic AA box is also one of the smallest (grade II) listed buildings in Britain.
Box 137 is situated on the A39 at Pittcombe Head, at the top of the infamous 1-in-4 Porlock Hill in West Somerset.
Altough we only supplied three British made Simonswerk solid brass butt hinges and a traditional style Yale nightlatch for the project, we like to think that, after it’s complete refurbishment, it represents a little bit of British roadside history.
