Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Lincoln Castle has stood for hundreds of years as a symbol of power and seat of justice. Starting way back in 2010 the castle has gradually been revealing its hidden history in a £ 22m restoration.
Visitors can now explore the all-new Lincoln Castle. Scale the heights of the Medieval Wall Walk, follow in the footsteps of prisoners in the Victorian Prison, and immerse themselves in the Magna Carta story whilst discovering 1000 years of history-where it happened.
Lincoln Castle is now the only place in the world where an original 1215 Magna Carta and 1217 Charter of the Forest can be seen side by side, on permanent loan from Lincoln Cathedral.
