Advice
We offer free advice on any aspect of architectural ironmongery for your project, however large or small. We are full members of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) and have full DipGAI diploma holders on our permanent staff.
Fire Door Inspections
Through our doorset manufacturer partners, we offer fire door inspections. Their accredited FDIS inspectors will visit your site and produce a comprehensive report. From this survey a schedule of necessary works and/or ironmongery can be produced.
The Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) was launched as a joint venture by the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) in 2012. The inspection covers for example the condition, suitability, and compliance of the door frame, door leaf, hinges, ironmongery, signage, glazed apertures, and intumescent products.
Master Keys
We supply new suites of master keyed locks and additions or extra keys for your existing lock suites. Certain master keyed suites are supplied through registered stockists so, in rare cases, we may have to forward your enquiry to another provider.
For anything from a lock for a single extra door, up to an entirely new building or site, we can talk you through the process of selecting lock types and scheduling which keys give access to which rooms.
Stockholding
We carry an extensive range of stock in our Birmingham warehouse.
Historic building expertise
In addition to our core business in the healthcare, education, commercial, and residential sectors, we have an unrivalled level of expertise in the field of architectural ironmongery for historic buildings. This includes the refurbishment of historic door fittings and copying existing items. We have worked on some of the country’s finest palaces, castles, museums, hotels and private residences.
Quality
The products we stock and specify are chosen based on their long term value for money and quality of performance and design.
Our internal Quality System is accredited to ISO 9001:2015
Scheduling
In consultation with architects and specifiers we produce schedules of ironmongery for any size or type of project.
